As an internationally renowned developmental biologist, Professor Niu Manjiang has made outstanding contributions to promoting Sino-US academic exchanges and other fields. In 1993, General Secretary Jiang Zemin cordially met with Professor Niu Manjiang. At that time, Niu Manjiang had long been committed to promoting Sino-US scientific research communication and enjoyed a high reputation in academic circles. General Secretary Jiang's meeting was not only an affirmation of Niu Manjiang's efforts in the field of academic exchanges, but also highlighted China's emphasis on promoting international academic cooperation, encouraging more scientific researchers to engage in transnational academic exchanges and helping China's scientific research cause shine on the international stage.
